William H. Bassett

William is known to film, television and theatre audiences both in New York and Los Angeles. His Broadway credits include Epitaph for George Dillon, Step on a Crack and Moonbirds. Bill's most recent Los Angeles theatre appearances were in The Actor's Alley at the El Portal Theatre in Murder By Moonlight, The Los Angeles Repertory King Lear and Sir Peter Hall's productions of Measure for Measure and Midsummer Night's Dream at the Ahmanson. Previously, St. Joan at the Ahmanson, Major Barbara at the Taper, Conversations With My Father at the Doolittle and Heartbreak House at the Westwood Playhouse. For the Los Angeles Repertory Company, he has appeared in the productions of Back to Methuselah, The Hostage, Dear Liar and Misalliance and as Claudius, The Ghost, The Player King and The First Gravedigger in their six-actor Hamlet.

Film credits prior to soon to be released House of 1000 Corpses include 1776, The Karate Kid, Towering Inferno and Conquest of the Planet of The Apes. Bassett's television career began opposite Lee Remick in Hallmark Hall of Fame's The Tempest with Sir Richard Burton, has included contract roles on Days of Our Lives, The Young and The Restless, and General Hospital, and most recently appearances on The Invisible Man, Dharma & Greg, 3rd Rock From the Sun and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
