Richard was the Artistic Director at Theatre XII Repertory in NYC where he designed 26 shows. He taught theatre design at The New School, NYC. In L.A. he designed Translations and Pound on Demand, winning two Dramalogue Awards at the Celtic Arts Center. While with the El Portal (Actors Alley) he has designed 10 shows and received a Dramalogue Award for Only the Dead Know Burbank. He has also received an Ovation nomination for Room Service. He has designed and directed Sea Marks both in L.A, and NYC. Most recently he designed Someone to Watch Over Me at Actors Alley and designed The Puppetmaster of Lodz for the opening of the 99 seat theatre at the El Portal, and ShapeShifter's award nominated production of Mimi's Guide at FCT
